Armed and ready for next year!

Nice pruning shears. I'm able to cut up all the branches into 12 inch pieces so I can fill my trash container efficiently. I was cutting dead and fresh branches easily and quickly. I can honestly say that I was having a good time doing that. No more arms getting tired using my regular pruning shears that use both hands. The case is nice and has a place for all pieces. These are super sharp and comes with a extra blade. All the cuts are clean. The batteries last a very long time and the shears them selves have a counter on how many cuts have been completed, my 408 cuts took no time at all to complete. The battery I used was being used with the Seesii 8 inch chainsaw and these shears and still had 4 green lights on the battery. These shears are also able to be used with Seesii pole attachment that I have with the chainsaw. These aren't heavy at all. Absolutely love these shears. I must say, I'm armed and ready for next year!By the way, Seesii offers their own 3 year warranty, it's in the manual. The pics show the branches I cut with the shears in the trash container and the large branches left for the chainsaw.

Well made, light,and fast.

Works as advertised. Great battery life. Well made. I cut 6 loads like this on 1 battery and still had juice left! It's light and won't wear you out. I was hesitant because it's made in China, but it's a good buy.

Very Impressive So Far

First of all, I like the Seesii BLX-140 1.8 inch shears. I have a few complaints but lets start with the pros:1) It has a large 1.5 inch cut capacity. This is the maximum size I can "fit" into the jaws. See the photos for what I mean exactly.2) It appears to have a good amount of power. It cuts up to 1.4 inch green citrus in one trigger pull. Any larger and it requires a second pull but still gets the job done at 1.5 inches.3) It works with the Seesii extension pole I have from another kit.4) The batteries appear surprisingly decent with a BMS that monitors the individual cell voltages. The cells are normal looking 18650s labeled as 3.7V and 2000mah, and branded "CJ." Although I can't find a data sheet for the cell or much info about CJ, at least there is a brand. At this price point you might expect the cells to be unbranded.5) The tool is compatible with Makita batteries. Since the durability of the batteries is an unknown, it is nice to know I can just use a Makita if I need to.6) The circuit boards in both the batteries and in the tool have a conformal coating that should offer some protection from corrosion. Not all the components are covered, but it looks like the ones likely to be problem are. I have some other Seesii batteries from another kit with no conformal coating, so this is a recent upgrade for the batteries. The cons:1) It has a 1.5 inch cut capacity. This is a pro, but the false advertising is a con. The product pictures clearly imply I should be able to fit a 1.8 inch round limb completely into the jaws. This sort of thing gets tiresome when trying to compare different products. Seesii is no worse than any of the other brands selling similar products, but it's still annoying.2) The beeping sounds this device makes are too loud. It's a small complaint but the Seesii 1.2 inch shears are not excessively loud like this.3) The plastic clamshell seems a little questionable to me. I did not see any markings to indicate what material it is. It has very little internal ribbing for reinforcement making it more flexible than I'd like. However, it feels solid when the two halves are assembled. The screws used to assemble the two halves are unusually small with a Philips #1 head. I question the holding power here. My advice is to not drop these shears. I don't think the clamshell can take much abuse.4) The bevel gear is slightly exposed (see photos). I expect dirt and debris would easily be able to fall into the gap which is not great for the gears. The bevel gear is not exactly easy to clean and re-grease. It would be much better if the clamshell completely covered it. I ended up fitting a bit of foam padding to cover the gap as a temporary solution.5) The LCD screen seems unnecessary and gimmicky to me. I have no need to keep count of cuts, and the batteries have their own gauges.6) The batteries do not work in newer Makita tools with 3 battery contacts. They do work in the older tools with only 2 contacts. The Seesii 1.8 inch shears weigh 2.18 lbs alone and 3.44 lbs with a supplied 4ah battery. This is very comparable to the Ridgid shears (see photos) that weigh 2.15 lbs without battery. However, the cutting power of the Seesii shears is significantly greater. The Ridgid model could only cut citrus up to about 1.1 inches in one-go, and required at least one more trigger pull for anything bigger. The Ridgid shears with a small battery are about 3.1 lbs total and are comfortable to use and quick to complete a cut, but it can get a bit heavy depending on what I'm doing and for how long. The 1.8 inch Seesii shears (with 4ah battery) are even heavier and they are a bit slower at it's largest capacity setting. So, this would not be my go-to set up unless I needed the cutting power or capacity, which most of the time I don't. In fact, I find the smaller 1.2 inch Seesii shears to be the most comfortable and quickest of the three and that is what I would recommend if you can live with the 1 inch cut capacity. But if you want to make larger cuts and don't mind the extra size and weight, the Seesii 1.8 shears are the way to go. I will mostly be using it connected to an extension pole or when the extra capacity is needed. For now I'm giving it 4 stars. This is not Makita quality, but it isn't Makita pricing either. It's actually pretty amazing for the price. If I run into problems later, I will update my rating.

A good product

This is a good product that makes it possible to trim small branches that are difficult to reach otherwise. It cuts through most small branches with ease up to about the size specified. I returned another similar pruner that simply was not adequate in many ways, yet cost about the same. This one is great. The design, weight, and sturdiness seem excellent. I have already put this tool to substantial use, and it has not disappointed me.Originally, I wanted one of these pruning shears that used Milwaukee batteries, because I have many of them. While this one uses its own batteries and charger, they are fine and will do a lot of work on one charge. Should I need additional batteries in a pinch, my many Makita 18 volt batteries (and knock-offs) will fit and can be used. The Makita teal color suggests that.I also appreciate the fact that these pruning shears came with an extra blade, small sharpening stone, and tools to swap out the blade. One note of caution with all electric pruners. They can easily cut off a finger, especially when used without the pole. Keep your hands away from the blade! This is not a toy. Children should never use it.

Best tool I’ve ever purchased!

Incredible one day delivery! This is the best tool I’ve ever purchased! Inexpensive and the best features, well made with high quality metal. Best of all the carrying case; a convenient place where everything is stored… the tool, batteries, charger, extra blades, sharping stone, and all tools needed to take apart, replace blade if necessary. It cuts like slicing butter!

Effective tool.

This was purchased by an old guy for trimming residential shrubs, bushes, and small trees. It was preferred over the electric chain saw alternative for safety reasons, and to eliminate the need for oiling, recognizing there would be differences in operation. The hand-held unit is very effective and easy to use. The telescoping extension requires learning for both activation and handling. Having controls located several feet from hands is awkward. Short extension use worked well, but full extension was not very feasible for me. My problem, not the tool’s. Instructions are okay and really must be read prior to use. The Amazon page description is accurate relative to form and function, including battery charge times. If I were buy again, I’d pass on the telescoping extension and just get the hand tool.

Effortless Pruning

Positives: Easily slices thru limbs. Battery is long lasting. This is a huge improvement over hand pruners.Negatives: the on-off button is difficult to press with a gloved hand. The trigger guard is too small for a gloved hand. It takes 15 to 20 seconds to power up. If you set it aside, it turns itself off after about a minute.Otherwise, this is a great purchase and well worth the price.

Does a good job

It's pretty impressive. Had no problem with bigger branches. It's too bad we can't make stuff like this in America.

Cuts limbs fast and easy

Makes it easy to cut limbs quickly and faster using this pruner. The different modes help to cut thin to larger limbs with ease. I'm impressed with the quality of the pruner and would recommend it to anyone that needs to prune tree limbs or bushes. The battery last a long time and including two for the pruner you will never run out of battery life. I used the pruner on a large bush that was overgrown and wanted to get rid of. It did the job easily and then I trim some branches off some trees and bushes in my backyard and still had used only one bar on the battery. Highly recommend.

Florida winter cleanup tool!

We had 5 mango trees, 2 jackfruit trees and a crap load of other trees that unfortunately died during the florida winter this year. This thing saved me HOURS if not days of trimming and cutting the branches of these trees into manageable sizes. I honestly did not think it would be powerful enough to cut through some of these branches but sure enough no issues. Will be a staple tool for my gardening journey. 20/10, would definitely buy again and again and again. Hopefully it lasts long enough so I wont have to buy a new one.

One of the best purchases.

One of the best purchases of last year. Finally got around to tackling these huge garbage trees around my property and this made quick work of them.. Super powerful cutter, wide angle for thick branches and crazy good battery life (like seriously the best batteries in any electrical tool I've used). Pole is really long too so its easy to get to the high branches. I was using a pole chainsaw before but won't be using it anymore now that i have this pruner.
